New Septic System Installation
New Septic System Installation in Bangor
A new onsite wastewater system is more than a tank in the ground. It is a matched set of tank, distribution box, and drainfield, sized to your household and your soil so it treats effluent for decades. Npath designs and installs conventional gravity systems for new builds and unserviced lots across Bangor and Penobscot County, from the first perc test through the final backfill.
Why the Design Comes First
Skipping the soil work is how systems fail early. We run a percolation test and a soil profile to measure how fast the ground drains and where the seasonal water table sits, which in much of the 04401 area runs higher than owners expect. Tank size follows bedroom count, so a three bedroom home usually takes a 1,000 to 1,250 gallon tank. The drainfield size follows the perc rate, never a guess.
Our Process
We pull the permit through the Penobscot County health office, set the tank on a level bearing surface, plumb the distribution box so it splits flow evenly, and build the gravel trench or chamber field to plan. Then we coordinate the county inspection and file the as-built record before we restore the yard. The whole job usually runs one to three days of work once the permit is issued.
